In a Facebook post at 9.57am, Rapid KL said the Kelana Jaya line was experiencing delays and said further updates would be provided.
At 10.05am, it said a train at the Universiti station headed in the direction of Putra Heights was experiencing issues which were being rectified.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Further updates to follow,” said Rapid KL.
The affected train could be seen immobile not far from the station, with commuters forced to take a short walk over to the platform.
FMT learnt that commuters at the station heading for Putra Heights were asked to take alternate routes to their destinations.
Later, however, Rapid KL started using the other platform to accommodate passengers heading towards Putra Heights.
It said the platform will see trains going in both directions at different intervals, and that the coaches will move slower and stop for a longer period at the station.
Commuters affected by the service disruption took to social media to complain.
“Technical problems everyday, are you not embarrassed?” commented one Facebook user.
Other netizens heading for work also asked Rapid KL how long they would have to wait.
“How long will this take? Please update, people are trying to get to work,” said Facebook user LiLy Le Belle.
