3 hikers lost in Gunung Panti

One of them managed to use a phone to call for help but so far, they have not been found.

Two men and a woman are believed to have lost their way while trekking in Gunung Panti here.

Senior fire officer Nasrul Jalil said one of them managed to phone the authorities and said they were lost while making their way down the mountain at about 4.50pm.

Nasrul said all three were experienced hikers and had started their hike at about 7am today.

“Ten personnel were dispatched to the scene and were told that the hikers were in their early twenties.

“The hikers were contactable but were unable to find their way out,” he said in a statement.
