Former Harakah editor Lutfi dies on his 59th birthday

His wife, Siti Hawa Samsam said he breathed his last early this morning.

PETALING JAYA:
Former Harakah Daily editor-in-chief Ahmad Lutfi Othman died today, aged 59.

According to his wife Siti Hawa Samsam, he breathed his last in the early hours of this morning.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform that my husband passed away at 2.10am this morning, on his 59th birthday,” she said on Facebook.

It was previously reported that Lutfi was admitted to Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam a few days ago over several health complications.

He first joined Harakah, the PAS organ, in 1987 but left in 1992. Rejoining the publication in 2006 as editor-in-chief, he held the post until stepping down in 2015 due to health issues.
