
The 61-year-old suspect, who is a younger brother of the male victim, was arrested at about 7.45pm in Genting Highlands, Pahang, according to Perak police chief Mior Faridalathrash Wahid.
“Police also found an axe, believed to have been used in the murder,” he said in a statement here today.
The suspect will be taken to the Ipoh magistrates’ court today for a remand order.
Mechanic Ng Chun Hon, 64, and his wife, Ooi Tin Lu, 59, were found dead in their house at about 8.50am.
Another of Ng’s brothers told police he found the couple unconscious and covered in blood when he returned home after work.
Mior Faridalathrash thanked the Pahang police, the Resort World Genting management and the public for their assistance, which led to the arrest some 11 hours after the incident.
