KUALA LUMPUR: Police expect to make more arrests in connection with an incident where a group of semi-nude transwomen allegedly danced and set off fireworks at an Aidilfitri event organised at i-City in Shah Alam last Friday.
Selangor police chief Arjunaidi Mohamed said that following a report by the venue’s joint management body on Saturday, police arrested several individuals, including the organiser, who is an Instagram celebrity known as “Cik Lala”, on Monday.
More arrests were expected as some of the dancers were from other areas, he told reporters on the sidelines of an Aidilfitri gathering at the Serdang police headquarters last night.
