PETALING JAYA:
Three men have been charged over a robbery of RM25,000 in jewellery from an elderly woman in Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, last month.

They pleaded not guilty when charged at the Jalan Duta courts in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, police said.

Cheras police chief Idzam Jaafar said two men were charged with gang robbery and the other man with receiving stolen property. He did not name the three men.

Idzam said the robbery, on March 26, was recorded on video by members of the public and circulated on social media.

“During the initial investigation, we identified the suspects as two locals who carried parangs and rode a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle,” he said. Five men were arrested during the investigations, but two were later released.
