Yesterday, Sanusi was quoted by the media as saying he did not discount the possibility that BN’s cyber troopers might be behind the “PASLeaks” papers, and that Selangor BN information chief Isham Jalil “may be” behind the leak.
The papers are said to be minutes of a PAS meeting that allegedly mentioned a plot to topple and disrupt Umno and BN.
Several prominent figures have been linked to the alleged plot, including PAS vice-president Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, as well as Bersatu leaders Azmin Ali and Hamzah Zainudin.
PAS leaders have denied the claims made in the papers, describing them as “rubbish”.
In a Facebook post today, Isham said: “Yesterday, out of nowhere, Kedah MB Sanusi said that I could have been the author of the meeting minutes and that I have ‘vested interests’ in those documents.
“If Sanusi is well versed in the law, he would not have come up with such remarks.”
He claimed the remarks had “elements of defamation that was intended to ruin someone’s reputation”.
Isham, who previously challenged Samsuri to take the “sumpah laknat” (Islamic oath) to deny that his party was plotting against Umno, said he will file a police report against Sanusi tomorrow.
