Cheras police chief Muhammad Izham Jaafar said the suspect, in his 30s, was arrested at 6pm yesterday at the school.
“The charred victim, 25, was identified as the school bookshop supervisor.
“The body was handed over to Hospital Canselor Tunku Muhriz UKM for a post-mortem,” he said in a statement here today.
Izham said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The woman’s charred body was found at about 6pm after the fire at the school’s living skills workshop was put out.
A fire department spokesman said a fire engine with eight personnel and an emergency medical rescue services unit were sent to the location after being informed of the fire.
