
The ministry also reported 33,406 new cases, slightly more than the 33,209 cases reported yesterday.
There were 33,064 local cases and 342 imported ones.
The death toll now stands at 33,173.
Of the 67 fatalities, 23 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Selangor reported the highest number of deaths with 14, followed by Johor (13), Kedah (10), Perak (8), Sabah (7), Perlis (4), Pahang (3), Kelantan (3), Melaka (3), Negeri Sembilan (1) and Penang (1).
There were no deaths in Terengganu, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 311,206 active cases. Of this number, 371 were in intensive care units (ICU), 226 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 27,143 recoveries.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 3,595,172.
