
PETALING JAYA; The health ministry reported 14 new Covid-19 deaths yesterday, according to its GitHub database. There were no brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
The death toll now stands at 31,882.
Selangor, Johore, Perak, Kedah and Terengganu recorded two fatalities each while Sabah, Pahang, Melaka and Kuala Lumpur had one each.
Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Sarawak, Perlis, Putrajaya and Labuan did not record any death.
As of midnight, there were 44,088 active cases, including 141 in intensive care units (ICU), 62 of whom require respiratory assistance.
There were also 2,858 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 2,829,089. cases.
