Police have already taken statements from the woman, her child and the judge to assist in investigations into the case, in which the woman claimed she found the judge sleeping naked on her bed.

“The statements of the five people are important for us to investigate the case before it is referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office for further action,” Ampang Jaya district police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak said in a Berita Harian report today.

The judge denied the woman’s claims in a counter-report he filed last month, a few days after the woman initially lodged her report.

Yesterday, the judge lodged another report, this time against an Umno man for posting a video on social media talking about the sexual harassment claims.

The judge once again denied the allegations and stated that he had given his full cooperation to police.

The complainant, a 57-year-old woman whose husband was bedridden at that time, claimed that the judge visited her family home close to midnight in August 2020 and asked permission to use the master bedroom to perform his prayers.

In her complaint, she said she was concerned when the man remained in the bedroom for a long time and decided to check on him and was shocked to find him sleeping naked on her bed.

She alleged that as he was leaving her house at 3am the following morning, he remarked that she was beautiful and had strong faith, despite his actions earlier.

The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging a person’s modesty.
