PETALING JAYA:
A healthcare products entrepreneur has asked for netizens’ help to locate a Good Samaritan whose exploits to rescue flood victims in Shah Alam using a boat he had brought from Melaka went viral recently.

Wan Siti Aishah Wan Hasan, in a Facebook post under her account “Sha Hasan”, said that she had tried numerous times to contact Azwan Omar, better known as “Abang Viva” in social media circles, but had no success.

“Can anyone help me to contact Abang Viva? I have tried to contact him via WhatsApp, but there was no response.

“InsyaAllah, I would like to give him a car as a gift.”

Aishah’s generous offer received praise from netizens in the comment section. They also provided her details on Azwan’s whereabouts.

Two days ago, FMT reported on how Azwan rushed from Melaka to Shah Alam with a boat tied to his Perodua Viva car to assist flood victims over there, with only RM50 in his pocket.

He fed himself with bread and water given by the flood victims and the NGOs on the ground.

He was among the first responders to be on site to rescue residents trapped in their homes by the rising floodwaters.
