Warisan-Muda alliance no threat to PH, says Mat Sabu

The Amanah president does not rule out working with the two parties in the next general election.

Mohamad Sabu said the Pakatan Harapan coalition needed to find many friends for the next election and did not rule out working with Warisan and Muda in GE 15.
SHAH ALAM:
The new alliance between Sabah-based Warisan, which is spreading its wings to the peninsula, and Muda will pose no threat to Pakatan Harapan (PH), says Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.

Mohamad, better known as Mat Sabu, also did not rule out cooperating with the two parties, Bernama reported.

“We will discuss this matter at the PH Presidential Council.

“We have to find many friends for the next election,” he was quoted by the national news agency as saying.

Apart from Amanah, the opposition coalition also comprises PKR, DAP and the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko).

The former defence minister said this after the launch of his book, titled, “Juang Mat Sabu” earlier today.

Warisan announced today that it would join forces with Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman’s Muda when launching its peninsular chapter this morning.

It will also work with a group of independents led by former Sungai Benut MP Tawfik Ismail and lawyer-activist Siti Kasim.
