PETALING JAYA:
Perlis, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Kedah will transition to Phase 4 of the national recovery plan on Monday.

Senior minister for security Hishammuddin Hussein said the decision was made at a meeting of the Special Committee on Pandemic Management today.

In a statement, Hishammuddin, who is also the defence minister, said the meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and took into account current risk assessments by the health ministry and the National Security Council (MKN)

Kelantan and Sarawak are the only remaining states in Phase 3.

He also said crew members on ships on stopovers at Port Klang will be allowed to take their vaccine shots, subject to approval by the health ministry and the marine and immigration departments.

“Vaccinations should be done onboard the ships to avoid large-scale movements of the crew to clinics or medical facilities,” he said.

Hishammuddin also announced that fully vaccinated individuals of all ages will be allowed to enter stadiums and sports facilities from Nov 8.

“However, eating and drinking will not be allowed in the stadiums,” he said.
