Burst pipe leaves Sepang, Kuala Langat without water

The disruption to water supply comes soon after Klang Valley households suffered dry taps last week.

Water tankers will be sent to the affected areas in Sepang and Kuala Langat, says Air Selangor.
PETALING JAYA:
A burst water main in Salak Tinggi has caused 150 areas in Sepang and Kuala Langat, Selangor, to go without water from 9pm today.

The Selangor water company Air Selangor said water supplies have been cut off to enable emergency repairs to be carried out at the burst pipe in Kampung Chinchang.

Water tankers would be sent to the areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funeral parlours.

The disruption comes days after taps ran dry for four days in major areas of the Klang Valley last week because of repairs and maintenance work at the Sungai Selangor water treatment plant.
