PETALING JAYA:
Covid-19 data produced by the health ministry’s new website should be followed up immediately, says DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

In a statement, Lim said the data produced by the website should not be wasted but must be analysed for targeted action.

“DAP applauds the four-person data developers team behind the website — Henry Lim, Calum Lim, Sheng Han Lim, and Roshan Maghhan — who volunteered their services pro-bono.

“Their efforts should not be wasted. The granular data must be studied and analysed with targeted action.”

Lim said the team’s efforts and follow-up action would give some hope that the whole-of-society approach, involving all segments of society, can win the battle against the pandemic.

Yesterday, the health ministry launched a new website to list all data related to Covid-19 in Malaysia. It can be accessed by the public from 6pm yesterday.

Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin said members of the public can access the site at https://covidnow.moh.gov.my/.

Lim also said there was an urgent need for the federal government to pour in more resources to care for sick patients in overstretched hospitals to protect the safety of staff and patients.
