No social events, celebrations when dining-in

This is stated in the National Security Council's latest SOPs for states under Phases 1, 2 and 3 of the national recovery plan.

Updated SOPs for states in Phases 1, 2 and 3 disallow social events and celebrations when dining-in.
PETALING JAYA:
While fully vaccinated people are allowed to dine-in now, they are still not permitted to hold social events or celebrations when eating in at food and beverage outlets.

The latest rule is highlighted by the National Security Council (MKN) in its updated SOPs for the national recovery plan, applicable to states under Phase 1, 2 and 3.

Kedah, Selangor, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya remain under Phase 1, while Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Penang, Sabah and Melaka are in Phase 2.

Perlis, Sarawak and Negeri Sembilan are in Phase 3 while Labuan is the only area under Phase 4.

The new SOPs for Phase 2 states also allow students enrolled in international baccalaureate diploma programmes (IBDPs) to resume face-to-face classes. Previously, only Form 6 students in their second semester could do so in these states.

IBDP students will be allowed to cross state and district lines for school using letters issued by the education ministry and may be accompanied by one caretaker or parent.

They will also be permitted to return to their on-campus dormitories with the education ministry’s letter.
