The EMCO there came into effect last night and is set to last until July 25.
The 31-second video on TikTok, which was posted at about 8.30pm last night, showed a woman in a white shirt and jeans crawling on the ground under the barbed wire that was placed around the compound before running to a building nearby.
Sabah police commissioner Hazani Ghazali, when contacted, said he had received reports after the video went viral on social media and that police were looking for the woman.
He urged those with information regarding the incident to come forward to assist the police in their investigation.
“We advise those who are in EMCO areas to always abide by the law. This (escape) will not only endanger yourself but you could also face strict legal action for flouting the EMCO,” he said.
