According to Ampang Jaya police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak, Sajat was a victim in a fraud case involving a change of name and gender on an identity card.
He said the entrepreneur was also required to attend court as a prosecution witness for the trial on July 14 at the Ampang court.
“She is an important witness who will provide evidence in a case of a Malay woman accused of being involved in the fraud case,” he said in a statement.
Police previously said they believed she had fled overseas after an arrest warrant was issued against the entrepreneur for failing to attend court proceedings at the Shah Alam Syariah High Court.
The proceedings was a remention of the case against Sajat, who was charged with dressing up as a woman at a religious event.
