Prompt action puts out fire at Dato Keramat Market

Fire department says 58 firefighters from three different stations in Kuala Lumpur attended to the emergency with rescue efforts still ongoing.

PETALING JAYA:
Some 58 firefighters were deployed to put out a fire at the Dato Keramat Market in Kuala Lumpur following an emergency call at 5.26pm.

In an early report, Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Mohd Suhaimi Mohd Razli said the fire had spread across a number of shops and that rescue efforts were still ongoing.

The firefighters were from the Setapak, Wangsa Maju and Hang Tuah fire stations.

The department said no one was hurt in the fire.
