Fire at PPR parking lot sees 26 motorcycles razed

There were no victims and the cause of the fire is still under investigation

PETALING JAYA:
A fire broke out at a People’s Housing Project (PPR) in Desa Tun Razak late last night, which led to 26 motorcycles going up in flames.

In a statement, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 12.48am of a fire at block 2 of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Tun Razak flats.

Fire engines were mobilised to the scene, with 13 personnel putting out the blaze by 1.06am.

“When they arrived on the scene, it was found that the fire involved 26 motorcycles that were completely destroyed by the fire. The motorcycles were located at the flat’s parking lot,” it said.

There were no victims and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
