
Speaking at his daily press conference, he said it was a personal matter but confirmed that he had lodged the report through his aide. When contacted, one of his aides told FMT that the report was lodged against a news portal.
“There was a report which I consider to be slanderous,” said Ismail. “I was informed that it was planned with the aim of slandering government leaders. I am one of those linked (in the article).
“As a politician, I am used to this, but we cannot allow slander. So it has been reported to the police. We’ll leave it to the cops,” he said when questioned about his report.
