Johor excos told to cancel or postpone events involving crowds

The advice came after a state government meeting this morning.

Johor recorded six new infections yesterday, bringing the number of active cases to 19 in four townships in Johor Bahru.
JOHOR BAHRU:
All state excos have been advised to cancel or postpone any programmes that will involve crowds following the rise in Covid-19 cases lately.

Although no official statements on the decision have been issued yet, an aide to an exco confirmed the matter when contacted by FMT, following a state government meeting this morning.

Johor recorded six new infections yesterday, bringing the number of active cases to 19 in four townships in Johor Bahru. The district remains a yellow zone.

The state health department yesterday confirmed the closure of a private clinic in Taman Daya in Johor Bahru after two patients were found to be infected with Covid-19.

The department’s director, Dr Aman Rabu, said the clinic would be closed until its premises were fully sanitised.
