Anifah threatens to sue Shafie over ‘land grab’ allegation

It shows Warisan’s desperation in bid to win the state polls, says the Parti Cinta Sabah president.

Anifah Aman said the claim by Shafie Apdal over land belonging to Yayasan Sabah is ‘unethical’ and ‘unprofessional’.
KOTA KINABALU:
Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) president Anifah Aman said he will take legal action against Sabah caretaker chief minister Shafie Apdal for “false allegations” over land belonging to Yayasan Sabah.

But this will be only after the Sept 26 election as “for now, what’s important for me is to focus on the people of Sabah”.

Shafie is said to have claimed that the former foreign minister, along with his older brother, former chief minister Musa Aman and other family members, had secured a 100-year contract for land that belonged to Yayasan Sabah.

Calling the claim “unethical” and “unprofessional,” Anifah said this only showed Warisan’s desperation to win the state polls.

He advised Shafie to “stop playing dirty by attacking other people’s families”.

“It seems Warisan is not confident of its own governance and has to resort to smear campaigns,” he said.

Anifah also said his party would release its election manifesto, called “Aku Janji” (My Promise), tonight.
