
“There could be a repeat of this if we focus on those with jobs but not on those without jobs,” he said at the Dewan Rakyat today.
He urged Putrajaya to create a special allocation for them by working with the youth and sports, finance and human resources ministries.
Youth and Sports Minister Reezal Merican said the ministry had apprenticeship schemes with various government agencies and programmes such as entrepreneurship and agro-based farming. The government was also looking at expanding the gig economy, he added.
