‘Compliance with SOPs reducng’
Aside from the Bukit Broga incident, he said there were various reports on social media about reduced compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set for individuals, companies and industries.
He said there were particularly some shop premises and companies which were not operating according to the set guidelines.
“The SOPs and new norms constantly emphasised by the government act as our nation’s defence system against the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
“Thus, the health ministry urges the public not to be complacent and not to take the SOPs and new norms lightly,” he said in a statement today.
Noor Hisham reminded that the Covid-19 virus still exists in the community, urging the public to continue taking precautionary measures and observe good hygiene practices.
He said the nation needs to be prepared to head back to normalcy, although with new norms, as the number of daily cases remains low.
Pointing out that today was the 100th day since the movement control order first came into effect, he said compliance with the SOPs would be essential in ensuring a full recovery for the country.
