KUALA LUMPUR:
Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s daughter and son-in-law will face charges in the court here on Tuesday (May 5) for allegedly breaching the movement control order (MCO).

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department chief Huzir Mohamed said Nurul Hidayah and her husband Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff will face charges under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the Infected Local Areas) Regulations in the Magistrate’s Court.

“The instruction from the public prosecutor is to proceed with the charges,” he said, when asked about Nurul’s claim that she had a permit to travel.

Huzir yesterday said in a statement that Nurul and Saiful will be charged soon in court but did not specify the date.

She previously posted pictures of her and Saiful along with Deputy Environment Minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad as well as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri on her Instagram account on April 20.
