KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad took the opportunity today to take his wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, out on a date around Kuala Lumpur.
Through several photographs that were uploaded in social media, the 94-year-old leader was seen driving a Proton himself to the federal capital with his wife.
“Once in a while, I take Hasmah dating in KL,” he said in an Instagram posting on @chedetofficial today.
The couple also spent time having a bite at a cafe, believed to be on Jalan Bukit Bintang.
The posting carried three photographs and a video, which received more than 55,000 “likes” and 2,000 comments.
The posting also drew the attention of singer Siti Nurhaliza who posted a comment in the shape of love.
In addition, netizens generally were impressed by the strong message of love that Mahathir and Siti Hasmah had for each other and prayed for the couple’s prosperity and health.
