KUCHING: Sarawak Assistant Minister for E-Commerce Naroden Majais said he will leave it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the claim that he had abused his power.
Naroden, who is also assistant minister for entrepreneur and small medium enterprises development, said he would cooperate with the anti-graft agency.
“As the matter has been reported to the MACC, it’s best to leave the matter to them,” the Gedong assemblyman said in a statement issued here today.
On Feb 13, Sarawak MACC director Razim Mohd Noor confirmed that the commission had received a report claiming that Naroden had abused his powers for self-gratification.
Recently, it was reported that former journalist Joseph Tawie lodged a report at the MACC on Feb 8 claiming that Naroden had misappropriated a piece of land in Simunjan for himself.
