Mohamad, the former Negeri Sembilan MB who has represented Rantau since 2004, said he was also prepared to face former Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli, among names being considered as the candidate for Pakatan Harapan (PH).
“It is up to them to nominate their candidate. I am prepared to face anybody.
“Of course I will be going all out,” he told reporters after a meeting with Pahang Umno leaders today.
Yesterday, the Seremban High Court nullified Mohamad’s victory in Rantau in the 14th general election. He won the seat uncontested after the election officer there stopped PKR candidate Dr S Streram from filing his nomination papers.
PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, during the party’s 13th Congress today, confirmed Rafizi was among names being considered to contest in Rantau.
