This followed his cessation as a nominee of the holding company UEM Group Bhd – a unit of Khazanah Nasional Bhd – effective today, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

UEM Sunrise also announced the resignation of Mohd Izzaddin Idris as a non-independent and non-executive director as well as the appointment of Noorazman Abd Aziz as a non-independent and non-executive director and Wong Shu Hsien as the alternate director to him.

Noorazman, who has been UEM group chairman since Jan 1 this year, joined Khazanah Nasional as executive director (investments) in May 2010. Previously, he spent two-and-a-half years as managing director of Fajr Capital Ltd, a Khazanah investee company.

Wong, meanwhile, is a director of investments at the sovereign wealth fund.
