The motion is listed at number six on the Parliament’s order paper, after the finance minister’s motion on reopening the 1MDB probe.
Bung Moktar had used the word during a debate on the Sales Tax Bill 2018 in the Dewan Rakyat on Aug 7. He retracted it after being ticked off by several MPs and Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Rashid Hasnon.
The motion filed by Zuraida said the house took a serious view of Bung Moktar’s action.
“The usage of the rude word by Kinabatangan has offended other MPs, especially female parliamentarians, as it tarnished the prestige and good name of the house.
“Therefore it is agreed that Bung Moktar be referred to the Rights and Privileges Committee on his act which was deemed to have insulted the house,” it said.
The incident was sparked after Willie Mongin (PH-Puncak Borneo) asked Bung Moktar if he had gone to a casino.
To this, Bung Moktar said: “What is this? You are rude. You don’t deserve to sit here.
“Gangster,” he added. “You want to fight? F*** you.”
