PETALING JAYA:
Nooryana Najwa, the daughter of former prime minister Najib Razak, today claimed that her personal bank account had been frozen after she posted bail for her father.

In a post on Facebook, Nooryana said she was informed by her bank that they had instructions to freeze her personal account which, among others, was used to pay her school fees.

She also claimed that her 10-month-old son’s bank account had also been frozen.

“Is the government so vindictive that they want to eliminate our entire family?

“What does my baby’s savings have to do with 1MDB? Is this the new Malaysia people we were praying for?”

Yesterday, the High Court set a bail amount of RM1 million on Najib who is facing four charges linked to RM42 million transferred into his private bank account.

The court allowed Najib to pay the first half of RM500,000 today, with the balance to be settled by 3pm next Monday.

His children, Norashman and Najwa, posted the bail.

The former prime minister pleaded not guilty to all the charges, which included criminal breach of trust and abuse of power in relation to the transfer of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
