PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today met with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar at his office in Putrajaya.
PAS veteran Mustafa Ali was also present.
“I am honoured to have received a courtesy call from Terengganu Menteri Besar Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and PAS President Datuk Seri Hadi Awang as well as Datuk Mustafa Ali,” Mahathir said in a post on Twitter.
He also uploaded pictures of the visit.
Mahathir had in the past been critical of the Islamist party, labelling it a “distraction” in the run-up to the May 9 general election.
