S Sanjay, deputy leader of Otai Reformasi Penang said the line-up of federal ministers and senators, and the state executive councillors in PH-held states, should reflect the numerical strengths of individual PH components following the 14th general election (GE14).
Sanjay, a PKR member, said the group hoped that Dr Mahathir Mohamad would consider more full ministerships for PKR and DAP.
Mahathir has named 13 incoming MPs as ministers in his Cabinet, with DAP having four ministers and PKR, PPBM and Amanah having three each.
Sanjay said Penang Otai Reformasi had proposed that seven more ministerial positions to be filled should be assigned to PKR and DAP MPs.
PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail should hand over the women and family development portfolio to another PKR leader to discharge her duties as deputy prime minister “and be chief whip of PKR ministers,” he said.
He urged the federal government to recommend that 44 senators appointed be the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government be sacked, and the 70-member Senate filled by 60 PH appointees, four members to PAS and the remaining six seats by BN.
He urged Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow to create two more executive council posts to be filled by PKR state assemblypersons.
Otai Reformasi began in 1998 as a group of supporters who backed PKR de facto leader Anwar when he was arrested after having been fired from the then Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
