KUALA LUMPUR: The new Pakatan Harapan administration has transferred the Treasury’s secretary-general Irwan Serigar to the Public Services Department (JPA) for the next 30 days.
His contract at the department is also shortened, ending on June 14.
Irwan, who is also the chairman of 1MDB, is known for his flamboyant style of dressing. He hosts his own talk show, “Only One With Irwan”, broadcast by local television channel TV Al-Hijrah.
He also chairs the government’s entrepreneurship development body, the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre, or MAGIC.
