Musa was sworn in as Sabah chief minister on Thursday while the state Cabinet was sworn in last night.
This was after Barisan Nasional (BN) obtained a simple majority to form the state government with two STAR candidates, including the party’s president Jeffrey Kitingan, deciding to work with BN.
Yesterday, however, six BN reps said they wanted to join the Parti Warisan Sabah-Pakatan Harapan (PH) alliance, giving Warisan president Shafie Apdal the majority to form the state government.
It was reported earlier that Shafie may be sworn in as the new Sabah chief minister tonight, with Warisan deputy president Darell Leiking saying the state governor had summoned assemblymen from Warisan, DAP and PKR, as well as the six BN reps, to the palace at 9pm.
