Shahidan who won the Arau parliamentary seat, was asked to comment on a tweet written by a user named Farhan Ghz, who said there were speculations that Shahidan and former Perlis Menteri Besar Azlan Man will be meeting Mahathir seeking to be part of the PH government.
Farhan stated the reason for the alleged move was because Perlis would be unable to administer the state with a government that was now part of the federal opposition.
Azlan who won the Bintong state seat declined to comment on the tweet.
In the 14th general election (GE14) on Wednesday, PH and PAS succeeded in breaking BN’s monopoly of Perlis, winning a parliamentary seat and five state seats.
Of the 15 state seats in Perlis, 10 are under BN, PH has three and PAS two.
