PETALING JAYA:
Voters should check on the location of their polling stations before going out to cast their votes on Wednesday, the Election Commission said today.

EC communications head Sabri Abdullah said the location of several polling stations had been changed after constituency boundaries were adjusted.

He said the changes were made before April 16.

“Some voters may be voting in different centres because of the boundary changes. We have been asking voters to check their stations before and after the boundary change as there are changes,” he told FMT.

He said they should check beforehand, so that they do not go to the wrong polling station on May 9.

Sabri was asked to respond to a complaint by a voter who had said that the polling station was in an Islamic school two weeks ago and then found upon checking yesterday that it had been moved to a hall.

Voters can check their registration details at the Election Commission web site.
