Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow has said Penang CM Lim Guan Eng’s remarks on there being no bald hills in the state is ‘simply blind talk’.
GEORGE TOWN:
Penang Barisan Nasional chief Teng Chang Yeow is astounded by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s claim that there are no bald hills in Penang.

He said Lim was reported by China Press as having said there “were no botak (bald) hills” in Penang.

“Lim dared to publicly say that there are no bald hills. That is simply blind talk.

“His former Tanjong Bungah comrade and incumbent assemblyman Teh Yee Cheu had voiced out so many times his dissatisfaction over the ‘botak hills’ issue.

“There must be something wrong with Lim’s eyes. Do you need a good pair of glasses?

“Hasn’t he heard about people talking about the issue of bald hills in Penang?” the Penang Gerakan chairman said in Jelutong here today.

Teng also wondered if Lim had heard about Google and Google Maps, where one could easily view satellite images or more current photos, which clearly showed there are bald hills in Penang.

“Over the past 10 years, Penang has lost its shine, lustre and greenery, no thanks to the DAP-led state government and their nonchalant attitude in tackling this problem,” he said.

FMT has contacted Lim and is awaiting his reply.
