Speaking at an event to launch the coalition’s manifesto, Noor said the seat distribution was agreed to by consensus and based on winnability of the candidates.
“We’ll field candidates who have a chance to win the particular state constituencies,” he told FMT.
Sabah Reform Party (STAR) and Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS) will each contest in 20 seats, while Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Parti Perpaduan Rakyat Sabah (PPRS) will contest 10 seats each.
Noor said the distribution of seats also took into account each party’s strengths and the area’s demography.
“For example, SAPP will contest in the capital city area and Sandakan. PPRS will contest in the east coast, including Kudat, except in town areas.
“Both STAR and SAPP will contest in Penampang, just to name a few.”
