Sabah minister Siringan Gubat dies at 68

The Upko acting deputy president is believed to have died of a heart attack.

PETALING JAYA:
Sabah Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Siringan Gubat died late last night after being hospitalised for breathing difficulties.

Siringan, who was 68, was pronounced dead just before midnight.

According to the New Straits Times, the Upko acting deputy president passed away at the Sabah Gleneagles Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.

He is believed to have died of a heart attack.

Siringan, who was Paginatan assemblyman, was also Ranau MP from 2008 to 2013.

He was also hospitalised after suffering a heart attack last February.
