The 31-year-old man, who hails from Bayan Lepas, was detained during a traffic operation on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, about 9.30pm two days ago, said Southwest district police chief Superintendent A Anbalagan.
“Checks showed he has 27 arrest warrants, and a traffic summons he has yet to settle,” he said in a statement.
Anbalagan said the 31-year-old also tested positive for methamphetamine, and he will be investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The man will be brought to the Balik Pulau magistrate’s court tomorrow where he will be charged for his 15 traffic offences in the district, and later handed over to the northeast district police for the remaining 12 offences.
