GEORGE TOWN: Police are puzzled over the motive for an apparent stranger to kick a senior citizen off his motorcycle in Gurney Drive yesterday.
Northeast district police chief ACP Anuar Omar today appealed to witnesses to contact police.
No arrest has been made in the case yet.
The only evidence police have is a video recording from a dashcam from a passing motorist.
In the 3pm incident, the 60-year-old man was on the way back from the mosque when all of a sudden an unknown man overtook him on a motorcycle and apparently kicked his motorcycle, causing him to fall.
Anuar said the senior citizen had been warded and is in stable condition.
“The victim has stated that he had no arguments with anyone prior to the incident,” Anuar said.
