The Umno number two said such actions could lead to anarchy and national instability.
“The action of some who seditiously incite the people with the slogans ‘Sabah for Sabah’ and ‘Sarawak for Sarawak’ is against the spirit of the Federal Constitution.
“As has been observed, when the people fight, others reap the benefits. Let us not reach the point where we suffer due to the intervention of foreign ploys and incitement,” he said during the opening of the youth, women and Puteri Umno wings assemblies at the Putra World Trade Centre here today.
He added that nobody was above the law in the country, and this applied to those who incite the people.
“I want to remind them that this is a very serious crime and they can be severely punished. Nobody is above the law.
“This subversive act can only take place when there are leaders who fall into the trap of political masterminds,” he said.
