KOTA BHARU:
The Kelantan Mentri Besar Corporation (PMBK), through its subsidiary, Kelantan Utilities Mubaarakan Holdings Sdn Bhd (KUM), is working on providing electric buses in the state.

State Agriculture, Agro-Based Industry, Green Technology and Biotechnology Committee chairman Che Abdullah Mat Nawi said KUM was working with Go Automobile Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (Go Auto), which will supply electric buses to bus operators in the state.

“Each bus, which uses green technology, costs RM1.2 million. It can ferry up to 40 passengers at a time, and can move at a speed of up to 80 kilometres per hour.

“The process of identifying the right location to build charging stations for the electric buses will be implemented immediately,” he told reporters after trying the electric bus service in conjunction with the Kelantan Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen Day and Kelantan Green Expo 2017 at the Muhammad IV Stadium here, today.
