Pensioner Mohd Razali Murad, 57, said he was “OK” if PAS left Mahfuz out.
“He has not done anything since becoming the MP. He only turns up if invited to a kenduri (feast), that’s all. I have not heard of him carrying out any activity.
“Just look at him, it’s as if (Pokok Sena) has no representative. What he does, we don’t know,” he said when met by reporters recently.
Kedah PAS deputy commissioner Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, in announcing on Oct 21 that Mahfuz would be dropped, said he could seek a different platform if he wished to contest in GE14.

Another voter, Mohd Yusof Abdul Taib, 54, also said it was irrelevant if Mahfuz was not re-nominated to stand in the constituency.
Yusof voiced his disappointment with Mahfuz who he accused of being more inclined to Pakatan Harapan (PH).
“I am disappointed..because I voted for him,” he said.
Yusof, who has been doing business in Pokok Sena for 20 years, confirmed that he rarely saw the MP in the constituency.

Mohd Shaari Mohd Fauzi, 51, also a voter in the constituency, said he did not like “very much” the way Mahfuz handled affairs in Pokok Sena.
“He did not pay much attention to the community, appearing only when he is invited to attend a kenduri.
“In terms of programmes for the benefit of the community, definitely there is none,” he said.
