Magistrate Zuhair Rosli handed down the sentence to Tang Moy Lan, 51, after she pleaded guilty to soliciting RM100 from Lance Corporal Mohamad Yusoff Abdullah, 56, for the purpose of prostitution.
The offence was committed at the five-foot way of Hari-Hari Department Store, Jalan Petaling, here, at 10.40pm, on Oct 17.
She was charged under Section 372B of the Penal Code which carries a maximum jail term of one year or a fine or both.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Siti Hajar Mohd Ashif had urged the court to impose a deterrent sentence as a lesson to the accused.
