Ramasamy, who is DAP’s deputy secretary-general, said Huan was not living up to the name of the party by calling for a ban of one of the most influential opposition parties in the country.
At a PAS gathering in Terengganu, Huan had called for the ban saying DAP was disrupting racial harmony in the country and was described as a rabble-rouser.
Huan called for the Registrar of Societies to take action against DAP before “it could destroy the racial peace and harmony in the country”, he was quoted as saying by Bernama.
“The DAP might have faults and have mistakes. But to say the DAP sows disharmony is a very serious allegation.
“Where is the love, Parti Cinta Malaysia. There is no love. There is only hate there. You should love your enemies.
“The reality is, we have provided hope for Malaysians. Because of DAP and Pakatan Harapan, people have hope, and they can live in this country,” Ramasamy told reporters at his office in Komtar today.
Ramasamy said if DAP were so horrible as described by Huan, then the people would have voted them out a long time ago.
“So, why worry about the DAP. People can make their stand. If we are unpopular, we would not be voted.
Yesterday, in the Fastaqim 2.0 programme organised by PAS in Terengganu, Huan told PAS members that in its nine years of rule in Penang, DAP had brought “misery” to its people.
“During the nine years, the water tariff has increased four times and shop rentals by 100%, while the houses built are not affordable but can only be viewed, and land indiscriminately sold off.
“If DAP rules Penang for two more years, even the sand and trees could be sold off,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
Huan said what DAP wanted was not the power to rule and serve the public, but solely to serve the interest of the party and individuals who craved for positions.
“DAP is cooperating only with habitual U-turn makers. Their own leader was charged in court for corruption, so how to be a national leader?”
