Among the points raised in the report was that Prime Minister Najib Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang have been in near-daily contact for several months, with plans afoot to cooperate in Selangor in GE14.
A source had also revealed that Khalid Ibrahim, who was forced to quit his post as Selangor menteri besar in 2014 by his own party, PKR, was now being courted by Umno and PAS.
PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad, when contacted, said the claims made in the report were all lies.
“There is no such thing going on. I don’t know where they got their information from.
“We are fighting against Umno and Barisan Nasional. There is no such plan. I would know. I am No 3,” he told FMT, referring to his position in the party.

As for fellow vice-president Iskandar Abdul Samad, he said the Singapore daily was merely speculating without having any solid proof.
“The aim of the report is very suspect. Maybe it is to tarnish PAS’ image among voters.
“It is not possible that a PAS-Umno alliance can wrestle Selangor from the current state government,” he said.
Iskandar also noted that a survey carried out showed that the majority of Selangorians supported the current state government and that a mere 8% to 9% did not agree with the policies of the state government.
“In the next general election, Selangor folks will support the party that represents the state government of the day.
“I do not see a split in votes. The majority of the people will stick together with the current state government.
“I believe the people of Selangor will continue supporting the state government,” he said, adding that the Selangor government had put in place many people-centric policies.

PAS ulama information chief Khairuddin Aman Razali also refuted the report, saying that PAS was continuing with its agenda of strengthening Gagasan Sejahtera for GE14.
The Gagasan Sejahtera bloc comprises PAS, Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) and Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM).
“There has been no discussion about any political cooperation, whether with BN or Pakatan Harapan or any of the parties in PH.
“The Singapore publication is only recycling accusations made by PH that PAS has political cooperation with BN.
“There may be certain quarters who are so desperate to the point of using a foreign daily to attack PAS,” he said, adding that this showed that PAS was seen as getting stronger and PH was feeling threatened by it.
